1862 $3 The Bullion Bank note from Washington, D.C.
This short-lived bank only operated from around 1861 until it failed in 1862.
This attractive note from the American Civil War was printed in black and vermilion ink. The center features a detailed Vignette of a girl wearing a fancy headdress. At the bottom right is a Vignette of a Cherub spilling coins inside an oval frame. The reverse features a fancy green security design with "THREE DOLLARS" written across.
Datelined July 4th, 1862!
This note is PCGS Graded About Uncirculated 50 with "Rust, Small Ink Stamps" noted and a small paper scuff on the bottom right.
