This railroad issued these colorful and attractive "Fare Tickets" following the Civil War as a way of getting around prohibitions against circulating privately issued paper money. 

This note printed in black and green features a detailed Vignette of men loading bales onto a horse-drawn cart. At the bottom is a Vignette of a train inside a small frame. 

This note grades Choice Crisp Uncirculated.
