This note features a Vignette of a large sailing vessel at sea beneath the arched title. A hallow frame hosts the text "FIFTY CENTS" across the left end. On the right, a round die which states By Authority of Law is printed inside a decorative panel.
This variety has no plate letter, no "No." written for the serial number, and the serial number is written under "January 1st, 1866". It's also printed on the back of State of North Carolina bonds!
This note grades About Uncirculated with mis-cuts on the top edge.
It measures ~ 5.25" x 2.75".
