These notes were printed by A. Malus of New Orleans until the fall of New Orleans in April, 1862. Although datelined Jefferson City, these notes were issued from a different location as the government attempted to stay out of Union hands.

This note grades Fine+ with many internal paper breaks / splits and small edge splits.
