1862 $5 The Bank of Louisiana note from New Orleans, LA.
This note from the American Civil War features a Vignette of allegorical figures intertwined in an ornate "5" at the center, flanked by serial numbers and "5" dies. "FIVE" is printed on both the left and right panels with a backwards slant on the right one. A blue "FIVE" protector is printed at the bottom and the reverse has a beautiful orange design.
This Civil War era note grades Fine with a small hole / internal tear, minor pinholes and some minor ink burn.
It measures ~ 6.75" x 3".
