This attractive note was printed by Blanton Duncan, the main printer of the Confederate Treasury notes, who found time to print these notes for the Parish. This note features an interesting Vignette of Liberty holding a shield in place for the Angel writing on it. A decorative orange/red protector is printed at the bottom and the reverse has a striking green design.
Vidalia was established in 1798 as the Post of Concordia by Spanish Commandant Don Jose Vidal.
