On the lower left is a portrait of Franklin H. Elmore, and on the right is Calhoun.
Elmore was the president of the bank from 1840-1850. He also served in Congress from 1837-1839.
After the death of Calhoun, Elmore filled the vacancy in the Senate in 1850 until his own death later that year.
