1861 $2 The What Cheer Bank (Spurious) note from Providence, Rhode Island.
This bank operated from 1853 until 1866 when it was liquidated.
This Spurious note features a Vignette of Ceres seated at the center between "2" counters. On the left is a portrait of Elias Boudinot and on the right is Marshall.
This Spurious note grades Very Good+ with some internal crease splits / breaks and a ~1/2" tear on the left edge.
