1861 $10 The Bank of the State of South Carolina note from Charleston, SC.

This attractive piece of Civil War era history is covered in green overprints. The central Vignette is based on a Revolutionary War painting by John Blake White titled Sergeants Jasper and Newton Rescuing American Prisoners from the British. The portrait on the lower left is General Daniel Morgan and on the right is General Andrew Pickens. 

This note grades Very Fine with 2 hammer-cut cancellations.

It measures ~ 7.25" x 3.25".
