1860 $1 The Sanford Bank note from Sanford, Maine.

The Sanford Bank was formerly the Mousum River Bank and operated from 1857 until 1861, ran by the Emery family. 

Above the title is a Vignette of livestock trading. A detailed train comes around a bend at the lower right. The title, city, and a corner die are all printed in red. 

This note grades Fine with minor stains and a ~3/8" tear on the upper right edge.
