This note features a detailed Vignette of a farm family chatting with the local blacksmith at the center. On the lower left is a Vignette of an Indian tribe and on the lower right is a portrait of Daniel Webster. A bold "ONE" protector is in red at the bottom.
The Bank of De Soto was chartered in 1857 and failed in 1862.
This example was stamped "Redeemable at No. 90 Wall St. N.Y."!
This note grades Extremely Fine with a lot of pinholes around the center and a tiny tear on the top edge.
It measures ~ 7" x 3".
