1857 $2 The Waubeek Bank note from De Soto, Nebraska.
A large amount of notes from this fraudulent bank were issued and circulated but never redeemed. Even so, these are rather scarce as many notes were altered to other banks.
This note features a Vignette of two sailors flanking a shield above the title. On the right is a Vignette of an Indian Princess seated beside America.
This note grades Fine with pinholes / internal breaks, a large repaired tear on the right edge, and a repaired tear on the left edge.
