1856 $2 The American Bank note from Dover Hill, Indiana.
This bank only operated during the 1850's.
Above the title is a Vignette of Liberty seated by a large "2" shield and agricultural equipment. On the bottom right is a Vignette of Justice in an oval frame. Between signature lines is a small Vignette of a dog guarding a strongbox and key, representing Fidelity.
The reverse is printed with a red lathework block that shows the denomination!
This note grades Very Fine with rust on the left, a small corner hole on the bottom left and a tiny edge nick on the bottom left edge.
It measures ~ 7" x 3".
