This bank operated from 1825 until 1864 when it became The Thames National Bank of Norwich.

This Altered note was originally a $1 Thames Bank note from Laurel, Indiana. It seems they forgot to change the "Laurel" to "Norwich".
This Altered note grades Fine with pinholes and a repaired tear on the right.
It measures ~ 7.25" x 3".
