1854 $1 The Erie and Kalamazoo Rail Road Bank note from Adrian, Michigan.
This bank operated from 1835 until it failed around 1841. It was revived in 1853 but failed again in 1854.
This note features a Vignette of a large harbor holding a blockade runner and other sailing vessels. On the bottom right is a portrait of Taylor.
This note grades Choice Very Fine with a couple tiny pinholes and a thin area over "Bank" that looks natural to the paper.
It measures ~ 7" x 2.8".
