1853 $5 The Farmers & Exchange Bank note from Charleston, South Carolina.

This bank was ultimately destroyed by Union troops. 

This note features a large Vignette of six oxen that are pulling a wagon full of cotton. Cotton picking is also depicted in the background. On the bottom left is Elmore and on the bottom right is Calhoun.

This example has a banker stamp from Grenada, Mississippi!

This note grades Fine with some pinholes. 

It measures ~ 7" x 3".
