During the Civil War, State notes from Louisiana were printed on the reverse of unused sheets. This example was saved by someone who decided to cut the pre-war notes instead of the State of Louisiana notes on the back.
These notes came as both "Holly Springs" and "Holley Springs".
This note grades Very Fine / Extremely Fine with horizontal sheet creases / printing wrinkles and very minor ink burn on the top left.
