This bank operated from 1855 until it failed in 1866.
This note features a Vignette of Liberty and Prosperity above the title that was later used for many North Carolina state issues. On the left, America is seated inside a large, ornate "V". A large "FIVE" protector is printed at the bottom. Bold vermilion overprints and accents!
This note grades Very Fine with small edge tears.
