The bank only operated from 1862-1865 at which time it became the National Bank of Michigan, charter number 1518 on August 11th, 1865.
This note features a detailed Vignette of a ram standing with many sheep. On the lower left, Benjamin Franklin teaches a child while motioning to a bust of George Washington. A farm woman with a large hat is on the far right with sheaves of grain and a sickle.
