1800's $20 The State Bank at New-Brunswick note from New Brunswick, New Jersey.

This bank operated from 1814 until it closed in 1877.

The American Bank Note Co. monogram indicates this note was printed during or after 1858.

This note has many allegorical figures including Liberty and Plenty in the rendition of the state seal on the left as well as Justice and Ceres flanking a shield on the right. At the top center, another allegorical maiden is seated with an eagle. A bold "TWE 20 NTY" protector block is printed in green at the center. The reverse has a bold vermilion design.

This note grades About Uncirculated with a small pinhole and light residue spots on the reverse.
