1800's $10 The Farmers & Merchants Bank of Memphis note from Memphis, Tennessee. 

This bank operated from 1835 until it failed in 1847. It was revived in 1854 but failed again shortly after. 

This note features a Vignette of a Native American standing between two "10" counters at the center. On the lower left, America sits with a patriotic shield. On the right is a Vignette of an early train between two counters. 

This note grades Good / Very Good with small holes, pinholes and edge nicks.

It measures ~ 7" x 3".
