1863 T-62 $1 The Confederate States of America Note - CIVIL WAR Era

$79.00

1863 T-62 $1 The Confederate States of America Note.

The T-62s were printed on plain pink paper with no reverse design as it was considered too expensive to print backs on such low denominations that were quickly losing value at that time of the war. The notes were payable six months after the ratification of the Treaty of Peace between the Confederate States and United States. At the center of this note is a portrait of Clement C. Clay who was a Confederate Senator for Alabama.

This note grades Fine with pinholes and a ~3/4" tear on the left edge.
