1862 T-53 $5 The Confederate States of America Note.
This note from the American Civil War features a Vignette of the state capitol of Virginia in Richmond at the center. On the lower right is a portrait of C.G. Memminger who served as Secretary of the Treasury for most of the War. This note was printed on plain pink paper and was printed with an ornate blue reverse.
This Civil War era note grades Very Fine with a pinhole and is mis-cut on the top.
It measures ~ 7.25" x 3".
