1862 T-46 $10 The Confederate States of America Note.
This note from the American Civil War features a Vignette of an allegorical maiden reclining on bales with ships in the distance. The Collecting Confederate Paper Money reference says it is Ceres, the Goddess of Agriculture but the symbolism is more commonly seen on Commerce. On the lower right is R.M.T. Hunter who was the Secretary of State of the Confederacy. This note is very similar in design to the XX-2 and XX-3 Confederate Fantasy notes.
This Civil War era note grades Very Fine with a few minor pinholes. Nice eye appeal!
It measures ~ 7.25" x 3".
